Please join us on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 for the VHCB Conference,
Envisioning Vermont 2025: Challenges for the Next Decade
Vermonters want thriving communities, affordable housing options, good jobs and a healthy environment -- ideals that align with our collective organizational missions. Our goal for this conference is to foster cross-disciplinary, visionary thinking among attendees.
In the program you will find a mixture of workshops, discussions, field trips and speakers to provide fresh perspectives and inspiration around themes that cross the boundaries between housing and conservation such as energy, climate action and food access. There will be a premiere showing of the 20-minute film, Arc of Justice: The Rise, Fall, and Rebirth of a Beloved Community about New Communities Inc., considered America's first community land trust, formed near Albany, Georgia in 1969 by leaders of the Southern Civil Rights Movement. To wrap up the day, we'll host a reception with a cash bar, overlooking Lake Champlain.
We look forward to convening in October for meaningful conversations. In the meantime, please save the date and REGISTER by September 25!
To request accessibility accommodations, please contact Laurie Graves by September 22 at 828-3250 or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
We hope you will plan to join us!
Many thanks to our generous conference sponsors!
