Barn Fire at Maple Wind Farm

Barn-fire-by-blackdogphotosMaple Wind Farm, owned by Beth Whiting and Bruce Hennessy, have been involved with the viability program for several years.  Just last month, their small-scale bird processing facility was profiled by the Burlington Free Press.

On Monday, they suffered a great loss when the barn and tractor shed on the old Andrews farm, a conserved property in Richmond that Maple Wind purchased last year, burnt completely.  While no people or animals were hurt in the fire, Bruce and Beth lost a lot of equipment and since it looks like their losses will exceed their insurance coverage they are asking for help in the form of donations.  Please follow the link above for updates and information about how to help them rebuild.
