Ela Chapin, Program Director

Ela has been the Vermont Farm & Forest Viability Program Director since 2006, helping to improve the quality of program services and providing professional development opportunities to strengthen the network of agricultural service providers in Vermont. She has a MA in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University. Ela is also an avid gardener and dancer and lives in East Montpelier.

Liz Gleason, Program Manager

Liz has worked for the Vermont Farm & Forest Viability Program since 2010. She coordinates partner organizations and consultants, enrollment, and program evaluations. She has a BA in Political Science from Williams College and has worked for a variety of farms and food-related non-profits in Vermont and Massachusetts. Liz fills her free time trail running, baking, and rock climbing.

Ian Hartman, Outreach and Partnerships Coordinator

Ian has been with Vermont Farm & Forest Viability Program since 2013, helping the program improve communication and expand into the forestry sector. Prior to joining VHCB, he worked in rural economic development and community forestry in West Africa. Originally from St. Albans, he received a BA in history and anthropology from McGill University and can often be found biking or in a body of water.
