How do I apply to become an AmeriCorps member?
- First read the list of sponsoring sites and the positions descriptions and decide where you would like to apply.
- Print and complete the application and send it, along with your resume, two written references and a signed legal form to the sponsoring site(s) where you wish to serve.
- Contact information for each site is provided on the position description.

What benefits do I get?

- Living Allowance: $13,702 for full-time service; $7,254 for half-time.
- AmeriCorps Education Award: $4,725 ($2,362 part-time) to be used for existing student loans or for future education in the next seven years.

- Flexibility for vacation, personal and holiday time.
- Travel Reimbursement: Non-commuting travel is paid for service related activities.
- Training Opportunities: In addition to a comprehensive Pre-Service Orientation, members have numerous training opportunities over the course of the year. Trainings may include Conflict Resolution, CPR/First Aid, Cultural Competency/Disability Awareness, Volunteer Recruitment, Sprawl vs. Smart Growth, Ropes Course and other position specific training. Additionally, members will attend a two-day AmeriCorps Statewide Conference, a team Retreat, Group Service Days and a Closing Ceremony.
