Meet Our Member: Erica Reynolds
Homeownership Center Assistant at Windham & Windsor Housing Trust
With a degree in Sociology from Smith College and a Law Degree from Western New England University, Erica Reynolds is a great fit at the Windham and Windsor Housing Trust. As the Homeownership Center Assistant, Erica provides general support to counselors, assists entering files into WWHT's new database, works with Homekeeper, and is currently compiling results from a resident survey. A proud Vermonter, Erica was born and raised in Brattleboro, Vermont. She is a thrift store shopper extraordinaire who also enjoys singing, skiing, and standup paddle boarding.
Why did you join VHCB AmeriCorps?
I wanted to learn everything I could about the Housing Trust model of affordable housing.
What are you learning or gaining out of your service?
I am gaining a very good understanding of the model, and of the non-profit world in general.
What has surprised you about serving in AmeriCorps? The comradery among the other AmeriCorps members, I have made some really great new friends!
What’s the best thing about serving at your site?
The people I get to work with and learn from, they are experts in the affordable housing field and I am trying to glean as much from them as I can!
What would you like other people to know about serving in AmeriCorps?
That it’s a great program and that we are really giving a lot of ourselves in order to do good in our society.
