The "Way To Go" Challenge is an incentive to promote carpooling to VHCB AmeriCorps trainings and events.  VHCB AmeriCorps collects and keeps track of the total number of avoided miles.

To calculate avoided miles:

·For each passenger, determine the total number of miles of “avoided driving” achieved by being in the carpool.  List passenger names and their avoided miles.

·Total the avoided miles for all passengers in the carpool (do not include miles for the driver)

·Submit your "avoided miles" on the mileage reimbursement form.
